In Tokyo
I just got up in a Holiday Inn by Narita Airport feeling less than stellar. In true Kim fashion, I’ve come down with a cold in the most inopportune time. The flight here was brutal since your typical ear-popping felt more like someone trying to clamp my whole whole head in. What saddens me more is that Dayquil and Oil of Oregano didn’t exist in the Philippines. The Biogesic seems to sort of work like Dayquil, and they have this magical oral mouthwash called Bactidol that works wonders, but other than that, guhh… I hate my body right now. There’s no time to rest though because we’re in FREAKING JAPAN! WOO! I’ve only been out a kilometre or so from the airport, but I love it here already. I could give this whole country and culture a big hug because it’s so awesome and adorable. They even have chibi mascots for Customs and Immigration… AMAZING!
In a couple of hours we will be boarding a bullet train to Kyoto where we will be spending a night in a Ryokan. Apparently this is one of the bigger ryokans in Kyoto. It was featured in a Japanese travel show that Alex and I watched while on the plane. The food looks yummy!
